Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate square footage?

Multiply length by width. For example, a 10 x 12 foot room is 120 square feet. For irregularly shaped areas, divide into rectangles, calculate each, and add them together.

How many square feet in an acre?

One acre equals 43,560 square feet. This is roughly equivalent to a square that is 209 feet on each side.

How do I convert square feet to square meters?

Divide square feet by 10.764 to get square meters. For example, 100 sq ft ÷ 10.764 = 9.29 sq m.

How much flooring do I need to buy?

Add 10% to your square footage for waste and cuts. For diagonal patterns or complex rooms, add 15-20%. Always round up to full boxes.
