Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a lightsaber?

Lightsaber blade lengths vary in Star Wars canon, typically between 90-130 cm. We use 100 cm (about 39 inches) as a standard blade length, which aligns with most prop replicas and is a nice round number for calculations.

How tall is a LEGO minifigure?

A standard LEGO minifigure stands 4 cm (1.6 inches) tall. At this scale, minifigures represent humans at roughly 1:45 scale, making a real 180 cm person equivalent to 45 minifigs stacked.

Why bananas?

The "banana for scale" became an internet phenomenon for visualizing size. An average banana is about 18 cm (7 inches) long, making it a surprisingly useful and universally recognized unit of measurement.

Can I add my own comparison units?

Yes! Select "Custom Unit" from the dropdown, then enter your custom unit's size in centimeters and give it a name. Great for comparing to your favorite objects.
