Use your current rate or the figure quoted in the job offer. If the offer shows a pay range, use the midpoint for a realistic estimate.
Full-time is 40 hrs. Part-time might be 20, 24, or 32. Use the actual number, not an assumption.
This gives gross annual salary before any deductions. A $25/hr full-time worker earns $25 x 40 x 52 = $52,000.
Subtract any unpaid weeks. Two weeks of unpaid leave drops 52 to 50, reducing a $52,000 figure to $50,000.

Adjusting for real-world schedules
The 2,080-hour number assumes you work every week of the year with zero unpaid leave. Most people do not. There are three common adjustments to make.
Unpaid time off. If you take two weeks off without pay, your effective work year is 50 weeks (2,000 hours). At $25/hr that is $50,000, not $52,000. Salaried workers are usually paid through PTO regardless, so this only matters when you are hourly and the time off is unpaid.
Part-time hours. Working 30 hours a week instead of 40 cuts the multiplier by 25%. A $25/hr part-time worker earns $25 x 30 x 52 = $39,000 gross.
Overtime. In the U.S. the Fair Labor Standards Act requires time-and-a-half for non-exempt workers beyond 40 hours per week. Those extra hours are not simply rate x hours; they are rate x 1.5 x overtime hours. Add them separately on top of your base calculation.
Gross salary vs. take-home pay
The annual figure you calculate above is gross pay. What lands in your bank account is net pay, and the gap can be significant.
